Please book your event at least 2 weeks (10 business days) before the event. Less time would make it difficult to acquire the necessary permits if food or alcohol is served in the space. Also keep in mind that the space is booked on a first come first served basis.
If your event lasts longer than the times you booked, you will be charged a 50% surcharge on the normal rental rate for the additional time.
5. How can I cancel my booking?
You may cancel your event AT LEAST 2 WEEKS (10 business days) prior to the event and AT LEAST 6 WEEKS prior for events booked in the Theatre or the Hall. Cancellation of the booking within these timeframes will result in the return of your 50% deposit and 100% of the security deposit. There will be NO REFUNDS for any cancellations made less than 10 business days (6 weeks for the Hall and the Theatre) prior to the event.
6. How do I make a payment and what is the procedure?
50% of your invoice and the signing of the rental agreement is due at the time of booking. You are required to reserve the space no later than 2 weeks (10 business days) before the event. The remaining balance is due at least 3 days before the event. If payment is not received during the time frame, we reserve the right to CANCEL YOUR EVENT.
You can pay online with a credit card through our system or provide us with a money order or cashier’s check payable to Urban Solutions. You can mail the money order or cashier’s check to the following address: 1 Hallidie Plaza #2, San Francisco, CA 94102.
7. What if damages are made to the site during my event?
If there are any damages, the amount of the damage will be taken out of your $250 security deposit. If the amount of the damages exceeds $250, you will be charged for the additional expense as indicated in the Rental Agreement. If you are a Fillmore/Western Addition community member who showed proof of financial hardship and your security deposit was waived, you will be charged for the amount of the damages.
8. What should I do about unruly guests?
If there are unruly guests that disrespect other guests or the rental space, please ask them to leave or have security escort them out of your event. There will be one security guard on site at all times while the facility is open. Clients are responsible for the charges of additional security (required in the Hall and the Theatre). We also reserve the right to ask any guests to leave based on their conduct in the space.
